AST ASTLS-14-2393 Lowering Springs, Volkswagen Golf III/Vento 1.9TDI 3/5-Door 1HXO 1991-1994 (Excl. AWD)

Description

Lower your Volkswagen Golf III/Vento 3/5-Door 1HXO and sharpen its handling with AST Lowering Springs. AST ASTLS-14-2393 is a direct replacement for the factory springs on the Volkswagen Golf III/Vento 1.9TDI 3/5-Door 1HXO 1991-1994.

AST Lowering Springs bring the center of gravity of your Volkswagen Golf III/Vento 3/5-Door 1HXO down without giving up the everyday comfort of the factory springs. A progressive spring rate keeps the ride compliant over normal roads while firming up under load, which reduces body roll in corners and nose dive under braking. Each spring is vehicle-specific and drops straight into the factory mounting points. AST springs are cold-coiled from premium spring steel on Wafios coiling machines in the Netherlands for consistent, accurate spring rates, and every set is backed by a lifetime warranty against breakage.

AST Lowering Spring Features:

• Lowering: 40mm front (1.6") | 40mm rear (1.6")
• Approx. 15% higher spring rate than OEM, for a lower stance with a comfortable ride
• Progressive design for comfort and control
• Lowers center of gravity, reducing body roll and brake dive
• Vehicle-specific direct replacement for factory springs
• Cold-coiled on Wafios machines in the Netherlands
• Lifetime warranty against breakage
• Complete set of 4 springs

Fitment Notes:

• Not compatible with AWD/4WD vehicles.
• On vehicles built from 10/1993, the original front spring holder (part no. 1HO-412-341) may be required due to differing spring holder sizes.
• For 16V, VR6 and TDI models, sport shock absorbers are recommended.
