Description
The Injen IS1321P IS Series short ram intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Kia Forte. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 8 horsepower and 7 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.
Injen's IS Series short ram design keeps the intake tract short and direct. For the Kia Forte, the system uses mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tubing that flows smoothly and reduces turbulence, delivering a quick bolt-on upgrade with no additional tuning. This kit incorporates Injen's patented MegaRam (MR) Technology to help maintain safe air/fuel ratios while maximizing gains.
Filtration is handled by Injen's SuperNano-Web dry air filter, a synthetic, fully serviceable element that captures fine particles while providing a large surface area for airflow. No oiling is required, which keeps sensors on the Kia Forte clean. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1017-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1035BLK or 1035RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.
The polished aluminum finish adds a bright, show-quality look to the engine bay. The system provides a deeper, more aggressive intake tone under full throttle and installs with basic hand tools. Injen designs and manufactures its intakes in Pomona, California, and backs them with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
