Description
The Injen SP1583P SP Series short ram intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Honda Civic Type R. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 21 horsepower and 17 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.
At the heart of every SP Series intake is Injen's tuned-intake engineering. The 6061-T6 aluminum tube used on the Honda Civic Type R is designed to reduce restriction and turbulence, and Injen validates each design on the dyno so power increases arrive without compromising air/fuel ratios. This kit incorporates Injen's patented MegaRam (MR) Technology and Air Fusion to help maintain safe air/fuel ratios while maximizing gains.
A fully serviceable SuperNano-Web dry filter protects the engine in your Honda Civic Type R. The synthetic media offers excellent filtration efficiency and can be cleaned and reused, with no filter oil to manage. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1015-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1033BLK or 1033RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.
The polished aluminum finish adds a bright, show-quality look to the engine bay. Expect a noticeably more aggressive intake sound when you get on the throttle. Installation is straightforward on the Honda Civic Type R, and every system is backed by the Injen Technology Limited Lifetime Warranty.
