Description
The Injen IS1342P IS Series short ram intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Hyundai Elantra and related models. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 12 horsepower and 12 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.
Injen's IS Series short ram design keeps the intake tract short and direct. For the Hyundai Elantra and related models, the system uses mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tubing that flows smoothly and reduces turbulence, delivering a quick bolt-on upgrade with no additional tuning.
Filtration is handled by Injen's SuperNano-Web dry air filter, a synthetic, fully serviceable element that captures fine particles while providing a large surface area for airflow. No oiling is required, which keeps sensors on the Hyundai Elantra and related models clean. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1014-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1033BLK or 1033RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.
The polished aluminum finish adds a bright, show-quality look to the engine bay. Expect a noticeably more aggressive intake sound when you get on the throttle.
