Description

The Injen SP6071P SP Series cold air intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Mazda Mazdaspeed 6. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 26 horsepower and 33.5 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.

Injen developed the SP Series as its premium aluminum intake program, and this kit for the Mazda Mazdaspeed 6 follows that formula: precision-bent 6061-T6 tubing, a vehicle-specific routing, and a tuned layout engineered to keep the air/fuel ratio in a safe window from idle to redline. This kit incorporates Injen's patented MegaRam (MR) Technology to help maintain safe air/fuel ratios while maximizing gains.

Filtration is handled by Injen's SuperNano-Web dry air filter, a synthetic, fully serviceable element that captures fine particles while providing a large surface area for airflow. No oiling is required, which keeps sensors on the Mazda Mazdaspeed 6 clean. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1015-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1033BLK or 1033RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.

The polished aluminum finish adds a bright, show-quality look to the engine bay. The system provides a deeper, more aggressive intake tone under full throttle and installs with basic hand tools.
