Description
The Injen SP1205WR SP Series cold air intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Subaru Impreza. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 30 horsepower and 29 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.
At the heart of every SP Series intake is Injen's tuned-intake engineering. The 6061-T6 aluminum tube used on the Subaru Impreza is designed to reduce restriction and turbulence, and Injen validates each design on the dyno so power increases arrive without compromising air/fuel ratios. This kit incorporates Air Fusion to help maintain safe air/fuel ratios while maximizing gains.
Filtration is handled by Injen's SuperNano-Web dry air filter, a synthetic, fully serviceable element that captures fine particles while providing a large surface area for airflow. No oiling is required, which keeps sensors on the Subaru Impreza clean. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1013-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1033BLK or 1033RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.
The textured wrinkle red powder-coat finish adds a bold splash of color under the hood. Expect a noticeably more aggressive intake sound when you get on the throttle. Installation is straightforward on the Subaru Impreza, and every system is backed by the Injen Technology Limited Lifetime Warranty.
