Description
The Injen SP1140WR SP Series short ram intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the BMW M340i and related models. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 19 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.
The SP Series is Injen's flagship line of tuned aluminum air intakes. Each system is built around 6061-T6 aluminum tubing sized and shaped for the BMW M340i and related models, giving intake air a smooth, uninterrupted path to the throttle body while the tuned design holds a safe air/fuel ratio across the rev range.
A fully serviceable SuperNano-Web dry filter protects the engine in your BMW M340i and related models. The synthetic media offers excellent filtration efficiency and can be cleaned and reused, with no filter oil to manage. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1026-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1037BLK or 1037RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.
The textured wrinkle red powder-coat finish adds a bold splash of color under the hood. Expect a noticeably more aggressive intake sound when you get on the throttle.
