Upgrade the factory air intake on your Mazda Protege Mazdaspeed with the Injen RD6066BLK RD Series cold air intake. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 14 horsepower and 14 lb-ft of torque. This direct-fit system is engineered to improve airflow, sharpen throttle response and add an aggressive induction sound without additional tuning.

Built with the enthusiast in mind, the RD Series replaces the factory intake on the Mazda Protege Mazdaspeed with mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tubing routed to pull cooler air from low in the engine bay, all while keeping air/fuel ratios in a safe range.

Every kit includes an Injen SuperNano-Web dry filter. The synthetic nano-fiber media traps fine dust without oil and flows a large volume of air, making it well suited to daily driving in the Mazda Protege Mazdaspeed. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1013-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1033BLK or 1033RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.

A durable black powder-coated finish gives the engine bay a clean, understated look. The system provides a deeper, more aggressive intake tone under full throttle and installs with basic hand tools.
