Description

The Injen SP1978BLK SP Series cold air intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Nissan Altima. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 15.6 horsepower and 19.4 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.

The SP Series is Injen's flagship line of tuned aluminum air intakes. Each system is built around 6061-T6 aluminum tubing sized and shaped for the Nissan Altima, giving intake air a smooth, uninterrupted path to the throttle body while the tuned design holds a safe air/fuel ratio across the rev range. The system can also be configured as a short ram intake. This kit incorporates Injen's patented MegaRam (MR) Technology to help maintain safe air/fuel ratios while maximizing gains.

A fully serviceable SuperNano-Web dry filter protects the engine in your Nissan Altima. The synthetic media offers excellent filtration efficiency and can be cleaned and reused, with no filter oil to manage. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1021-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1037BLK or 1037RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.

A durable black powder-coated finish gives the engine bay a clean, understated look. The system provides a deeper, more aggressive intake tone under full throttle and installs with basic hand tools.
