The LuK Dual Mass Flywheel is a direct OE-quality replacement for the Volvo S60R and V70R equipped with the M66 six-speed manual transmission and Haldex AWD. A dual mass flywheel uses two separate masses joined by an internal spring and damper assembly to absorb torsional vibration from the engine before it reaches the gearbox. When the damper wears, symptoms include rattle at idle, chatter on engagement, vibration through the pedal, and a knock when shutting the engine off. Replacing a worn flywheel restores smooth, quiet operation and protects the M66 transmission from harmful driveline vibration.
