    A larger, High Performance Turbocharger Upgrade for the 6-cylinder 3.0L S60/V60 T6 AWD, S80 II T6, V70/XC70 III T6 or XC60 T6. 100% bolt-on for a factory appearance!

    Stage 1 Turbocharger Upgrade:

    Introducing the first ever K16 Turbocharger Upgrade for the 6-cylinder 3.0L S60/V60 T6 AWD, S80 II T6, V70/XC70 III T6 and XC60 T6 engines! Upgrading to our Stage 1 Turbocharger is a 100% bolt-on option, requiring no additional cutting, welding or custom oil and coolant lines. When used with our exclusive and custom Stage 3 Software Upgrade, our Turbocharger Upgrade is guaranteed to deliver increased performance.

    Volvo used the 6-cylinder 3.0L (SIT6) T6 engine and turbocharger setup in the S60/V60 T6 AWD, S80 II T6, V70/XC70 III T6 and XC60 T6 models. Depending on the model, Horsepower ranges are from 281BHP to 325BHP, but the engine and turbocharger hardware have remained the same, relying on changes to the engine software to vary the engine output across the models. Because the turbocharger hardware has not changes, our Stage 1 Turbocharger Upgrade is an ideal upgrade for owners of those Volvo models who want to increase engine performance.

    Features:

    How is this possible? First, we partnered with an established professional turbo rebuild shop whose insistence on high quality is the same as ours. They start with an original K16 turbocharger fitted on the 6-cylinder 3.0L T6 engine, and perform the following modifications to the turbo:

    • Complete, professional rebuild of turbo: This includes an extensive cleaning of the assembly, inspecting for any physical damage, replacing the internal seals, bearings and thrust hardware. We also balance the entire rotating assembly (CHRA) on a 2-axis VSR Balancing Machine, and pressure test the assembled turbo to 5-bar oil pressure to ensure the seals are properly seated.
    • Installation of a larger and more efficient compressor wheel: This requires machining excess material from inside the compressor housing to allow room for our larger Stage 1 Billet Compressor Wheel. The upgraded Billet Compressor Wheel is stronger and lighter than the original, cast compressor wheel, with the following dimensions: 49mm Inducer / 62mm Exducer.

    • 100% plug and play design retains all original oil/coolant lines, downpipe and manifold flanges. There is no need to develop or fit custom hardware
    • 25%+ increase of performance over the stock T6 305HP engine
    • Significantly increased usable horsepower and torque throughout the low to mid RPM range
    • Billet Compressor Wheel design increases efficiency and volumetric airflow by requiring thinner impeller blades, and is lighter than a cast wheel, reducing rotating inertia and providing faster and more responsive torque

    Supporting Upgrades:

    Your car's engine and drivetrain need to be in prime mechanical condition to safely and reliably provide maximum performance (please follow all preventative maintenance procedures). In addition to requiring a minimum of 93 AKI octane fuel, this turbo also requires custom tuning (not provided) and the following supporting hardware to achieved the above quoted performance figures:

    Warranty:

    We offer a 6-month warranty for the K16 Turbocharger that covers defects in workmanship. Exclusions from the warranty include oil starvation related problems, improper installation, foreign object damage, etc. ViVA Performance must inspect all turbochargers prior to honoring warranty claims.
