Description
The Injen RD1482P RD Series cold air intake is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the Acura TL and Honda Accord. Injen dyno testing shows gains of up to 13 horsepower and 8 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the restrictive factory intake with a less restrictive design that improves throttle response and works with the stock engine calibration.
Built with the enthusiast in mind, the RD Series replaces the factory intake on the Acura TL and Honda Accord with mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tubing routed to pull cooler air from low in the engine bay, all while keeping air/fuel ratios in a safe range.
Filtration is handled by Injen's SuperNano-Web dry air filter, a synthetic, fully serviceable element that captures fine particles while providing a large surface area for airflow. No oiling is required, which keeps sensors on the Acura TL and Honda Accord clean. When service is due, order Injen replacement filter part number X-1015-BB. An optional Injen Hydroshield pre-filter (1034BLK or 1034RED) is available for added protection from water and debris.
The polished aluminum finish adds a bright, show-quality look to the engine bay. The system provides a deeper, more aggressive intake tone under full throttle and installs with basic hand tools. Injen designs and manufactures its intakes in Pomona, California, and backs them with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
CARB Legal: This Injen intake is exempt under California Air Resources Board Executive Order D-476-5, covering 2004-2008 model years, and is legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles in all 50 states within that coverage.
