The do88 performance intercooler features an all-aluminum construction with CAD-designed, flow-optimized cast end tanks and an optimized core design to deliver maximum cooling efficiency with minimal pressure drop.
The OEM intercooler is designed for factory power levels. Increased boost pressure or hard driving can exceed its limits. Even after an engine software tune, the do88 intercooler delivers a noticeable performance improvement. The OEM intercooler also uses plastic end tanks that may fail under higher boost; the do88 intercooler significantly improves reliability.
A common misconception is that an intercooler in this position cannot perform as well as a front-mounted intercooler (FMIC). In reality, the do88 intercooler outperforms many FMIC setups, which often use smaller cores and are partially blocked by the bumper beam, reducing cooling efficiency.
The do88 intercooler includes all necessary installation hardware and brackets for the radiator, AC condenser, and air guides. Installation instructions based on the Saab 9-3 are included as guidance.
