DESCRIPTION
Upgrade the braking performance of your Lamborghini Aventador Iron Conversion with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-119.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc; no modifications are necessary. The disc bolts directly to the car and works perfectly with OE calipers. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high-performance replacements instead of a big brake kit, your factory bias and ABS efficiency are maintained.
The central hat section of the rotor is made from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured and machined in-house in the USA. The rotor features a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump, forcing cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system that uses 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA to Girodisc’s specifications and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float. They are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side allow thermal expansion while eliminating rattle, and the float also allows the rotor to self-center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor as needed.
