Upgrade the braking performance of your Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 997 with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-126.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc on all 997.2 GT3/GT2 models, with or without OEM PCCB rotors. No modifications are necessary and it allows use of factory unmodified pads, unlike most aftermarket solutions. The disc bolts directly to the car and works with OE calipers perfectly. Upgrading to lightweight high-performance replacements instead of a big brake kit maintains your factory bias and ABS efficiency.
The central hat section is made from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured and machined in-house in the USA. The rotor features a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump, forcing cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat feature a floating mount system with 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA to Girodisc specifications and cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float, secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers allow thermal expansion while eliminating rattle, and the float allows the rotor to self-center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor as needed.
