Upgrade the braking performance of your 08-16 Audi S4/S5 B8 with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-130.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading to lightweight high-performance replacements instead of a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained along with ABS efficiency. The Girodisc front rotors weigh approximately 19.1 lbs vs. 23.6 lbs for stock units, reducing rotational and unsprung weight for quicker acceleration and improved suspension response.
This rotor also fits B8 A4, S4, and S5 models upgraded with the four-piston Brembo caliper from a Q5 3.0T.
The central hat section is made from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured and machined in-house in the USA. The rotor uses a curved vane design developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump, forcing cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat feature a floating mount system with 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA to Girodisc specifications and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float, secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers allow thermal expansion while eliminating rattle, and the float allows the rotor to self-center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor as needed.
