Upgrade the braking performance of your Porsche 911 GT3/GT3RS/GT2RS 991 Excl PCCB with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-146.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc on the 991 GT3 and GT3 RS with OEM iron rotors. No modifications are necessary, and it allows the use of factory unmodified pads unlike most aftermarket solutions for this application. The disc bolts directly to the car and works with OE calipers perfectly. Upgrading with lightweight high-performance replacements maintains factory bias and ABS efficiency.
The central hat section is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined in-house from start to finish. The rotor uses a curved vane design, developed in racing, to act as a centrifugal pump and force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat feature a floating mount system with 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA and cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. They are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers prevent rattling when cold while allowing thermal expansion, and this float allows the rotor to self-center between the pads.
