Upgrade the braking performance of your 2015-2021 McLaren 570S/570GT w/CCM with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-159.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc; however, a different brake pad with an annulus (pad swept area) of 66mm or less must be used. This keeps the rotor weight reasonable. If a rotor were manufactured with the same annulus as the OEM CCM rotors, it would be unnecessarily heavy.
The required pad shape is common and also found on the Nissan GT-R, Cadillac CTS-V, and most AMG Mercedes with 6-piston calipers. For specific pad compounds, please contact us directly for the correct part numbers.
The central hat section is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from cast iron using the same specifications as professional racing organizations. It features a curved vane design, developed in racing, to act as a centrifugal pump that forces cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system with 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc and cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Pins are secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers prevent rattling when cold, allow thermal expansion, and let the rotor self-center between the pads.
Once installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
When used with performance pads and hi-temp fluid, this system provides an exceptional solution against overheating or warping rotors.
