Upgrade the braking performance of your 16-20 Ford Shelby GT350/GT350R with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-162.
This Girodisc rotor assembly is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The assembly bolts directly to your car and works perfectly with OE calipers and pads.
The central hat section of the rotor is made from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined entirely in-house at Girodisc. The rotor uses a curved vane design, developed in racing, to act as a centrifugal pump that forces cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat feature a floating mount system with 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA and cadmium-plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side allow thermal expansion while eliminating rattle. The floating design also enables the rotor to self-center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
