Upgrade the braking performance of your Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-168.
Our replacement rings are sold in pairs and include replacement hardware. The only parts you will reuse are your existing GiroDisc hats.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. Upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high-performance replacements maintains your factory bias and ABS efficiency. The reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and improved suspension response.
The central hat section is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined entirely in-house at Girodisc. The rotor uses a curved vane design developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump, forcing cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system using 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA and cadmium-plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins handle braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow thermal expansion while eliminating rattle and noise. This float also enables the rotor to self-center between the pads.
Once installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
