Upgrade the braking performance of your 2018+ Mercedes G63 W463 with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-260.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc and includes caliper spacers and longer bolts to upsize the rotor to 410mm. No other modifications are necessary. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high-performance replacements instead of a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as ABS efficiency.
The central hat section of the rotor is made from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from proprietary cast iron, poured and machined entirely in-house at Girodisc. The rotor features 48 curved directional vanes, developed in racing, which act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat use a floating mount system with 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA to Girodisc specifications and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take braking loads while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured with grade 12 cap screws and hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side allow thermal expansion while eliminating rattle, and the floating system ensures the rotor self-centers between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
