Upgrade the braking performance of your 2021+ BMW M2/M3/M4 G8X excluding carbon ceramic brakes with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-282.
These GiroDisc 2-piece rotors are a direct replacement for the front rotors on the G80 M3, G82/G83 M4, and G87 M2 without carbon ceramic brakes. Our 2-piece, fully floating assemblies help reduce unsprung weight and rotational mass from the front axle of the vehicle.
The rotor rings are machined from a proprietary casting made of high-carbon iron formulated to GiroDisc’s specifications. This superior metallurgy produces a rotor that holds up better under hard use. The 72 curved vanes act as a centrifugal pump, pulling air through the hub to efficiently cool the rotors. The 2-piece design includes a reusable hat, which can be paired with new rings (part number D1-282) when needed.
All major components—including hats, rotor rings, and drive pins—are manufactured in-house at GiroDisc’s Bellingham, WA facility from domestically sourced materials. The hat is made from 6061-T6 aluminum with a black anodized finish. Drive pins are made from high-strength steel alloy and cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance. All rotors are assembled with spring clips and Belleville washers for race-ready float while remaining street-friendly with no noise from loose hardware.
We recommend replacing these rings when they reach a minimum thickness of 34mm or if a crack extends to the edge of the ring.
