Upgrade the braking performance of your 14-18 Mercedes-Benz A45/CLA45/GLA45 AMG with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A1-310.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc bolts directly to the car and works with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high-performance replacements instead of a big brake kit, your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained.
The central hat section of the rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured and machined in-house in the USA. The rotor features a curved vane design, developed in racing, which acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat feature a floating mount system using 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured in the USA and cadmium-plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to prevent rattle when cold. This floating design also allows the rotor to self-center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
