Upgrade the braking performance of your 14-19 Chevrolet Corvette Z06/Grand Sport C7 w/Z07 CCM with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A2-145.
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc—no modifications are required. The rotor bolts directly to the car and works perfectly with the OE calipers and parking brake. By upgrading with lightweight, high-performance rotors instead of a big brake kit, your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are preserved.
The central hat section of the rotor is precision-machined from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc itself is cast from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined entirely in-house. Each rotor features a curved vane design, originally developed for racing, which acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc for improved thermal performance.
The rotor and hat are connected by a floating mount system, utilizing 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to exact specifications. These pins are cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance and secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers. To eliminate cold rattle and noise, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side, allowing for heat expansion while keeping the rotor centered between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is installed, only the cast iron rotor needs to be replaced when worn.
