    DESCRIPTION

    Upgrade the braking performance of your Porsche 911 GT3/GT3 RS/GT2 RS 991 Excl PCCB with Girodisc 2-piece Brake Rotors A2-146.

    The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the rear OE disc on the 991 GT3 and GT3 RS with OEM iron rotors. No modifications are required, and unlike many aftermarket options, the Girodisc rotors allow the continued use of factory unmodified pads. The discs bolt directly to the car and work perfectly with OE calipers. By upgrading with lightweight, high-performance rotors instead of a big brake kit, your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are preserved.

    The central hat section of the rotor is precision-machined from strictly U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is cast from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined entirely in-house. Each rotor features a curved vane design, developed in racing, which functions as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.

    The rotor and hat are joined using a floating mount system, which employs 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to exact specifications. These pins are cadmium-plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance and secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. To reduce cold rattle and noise, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side, allowing for thermal expansion while keeping the rotor centered between the pads.

    Once the Girodisc system is installed, only the cast iron rotor needs to be replaced when worn.
