DESCRIPTION
Reduce drive-train movement with an IPD HD Billet Transmission-Side Torque Mount. 142882 is designed to fit P1 Volvo S40/V50, C30/C70.
A perfect companion piece to IPD's subframe-side billet lower torque mount, this transmission-side torque mount replaces the cast aluminum and rubber OEM mount with a billet aluminum mount and stout polyurethane bushing.
Replacing the factory mount's rubber bushing with polyurethane and its stiff, linear compression curve helps control driveline "shunt" when you tip in to or let off the throttle, reducing the rocking motion of the engine/transmission relative to the chassis that a worn out torque mount can bring.
Greater bushing mass and surface area compared to the small OEM rubber bushing enables us to achieve this tighter driveline response while also maintaining good NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) characteristics: less shunt, without shaking your teeth out.
